Lol. Yes, well... maybe I'll be like that someday if I drive a Bentley (but not as the chauffeur, I hope).

Anyway, I still get to choose what they can and cannot consume inside the vehicle. Covered and bottled drinks that can be secured in the cup holders are typically fine. Chicharon, polvoron, Choc Nut, chips, and the like... NO-NO.

I was careful with my dad's car as a kid because I help him clean it. He said I can't have my own car if I don't know how to keep it clean. He started me early on car care hahaha

I consider myself OC din when it comes to my car's appearance, but when it comes to long trips, I just wash it when I return home. Kaunting ambon lang sa highways puro putik na nakakapit sa mga sasakyan natin.

In Baguio, I used to have my car washed at the Petron Station beside the Baguio Patriotic School near Burnham. But I haven't been there for 8 years and I don't know if it's still open for business.

The last thing I need is a colony of ants thriving off of spilled food.

Of course, there's still the occasional candy wrapper or trash bits wedged in the seats, door pockets or on the floor, but they're all the dry kind... nothing that a monthly vacuuming can't handle.
    heh heh heh.

Just worry about the clean-up when you get back home.

I myself has relegated to once-a-week or every-other-week car washes. Don't be your own car's slave.
Agree here. I take care of the car and wash it well when it's time to be cleaned, but i use it as intended.

When i did an Ilocos run last year (in fact, exactly a year ago as per my FB feed) i did not wash the car anymore but every morning before driving off to anywhere, i clean all the windows for good visibility, and dust off the rubber mats. I was tempted to have the car washed in Laoag (i saw a decent looking car wash which later on, i learned Jut also goes to) but passed on it and just gave it a nice DIY wash and another coat of wax when I got home.

If i have the time, i give the car a fresh coat of wax before embarking on a long drive. That i think is better than looking for a car wash inbetween.

Pareho tayo. I can live with a dirty exterior. But the windshield and front windows, including the wing mirrors, have to be clean. For the windshield alone, I go through the whole reservoir of windshield washer in about 2-3 weeks.

Have 4 kids and I don't allow eating inside the car... except for milk for the baby and toddler. Regular interior wipe and vacuum every carwash then once every 2 months i personally use interior detail spray and leather conditioner. Mahirap pero worth it cos malinis and mabango sa loob no need for air freshener.

I use a duster first to remove all particles on the windshield/windows/side mirrors.... then proceed to use glass cleaner and MF.... i find this easier and also less dirt to wipe off.

Nakakainis yung konting ambon then matutuyo and the car is covered in dirt spots... it helps to remove the dust on the car before using it... kahit maambunan and matuyo hindi ganun katindi yung dumi after.
