to prevent adding more swirls, practice proper washing technique. (purchase a good quality washmitt adn use the 2 bucket system with gritguards) for drying the car, do not use a rubber chamois, try using a good quality towel. check out microtex products
For protection, you may apply a sealant or a wax or both
good luck and enjoy!

September 14th, 2010 01:47 AM #937First comes prevetion before the cure
First as Watusi have mentioned, first learn how to wash the car properly without inducing new swirls and then after that a good option would be to fill the swirls and just wait for it to accumulate before you have it corrected.
Get the FF for washing the car
1. Microtex Washmitt and 1 Cheap Ace hardware washmitt for lower parts
2. California Gold Shampoo is good so is NXT Shampoo but if you want cheaper alternatives you can also get Microtex Shampoo i think its just 150
3. Microtex Chamois or Elite, don't use rubber chamois, other drying towels can also be used like Mothers and Meguiars Drying towel but i find that Microtex Absorbs more although its a lot more expensive.
4. 2 buckets
Optional items available OTC
1. Tire Black - Get the creme and water based ones like Microtex Tire Black or Red Carpet Tire Cream from BB
2. Wax - Moms Step 3, Megs NXT, Megs Gold Class, Microtex Nano Glos and TW Platinum is good.

September 14th, 2010 01:52 AM #938Hahaha i just learned what it is, give us some feed back regarding the results and try to post pictures, at first it would seem that it might flatten the Collinite's beading but wait for a few more days and it'll be back, its just that the sealant needs time to cure and breath more, also my BF told me to ask you a favor, Can you do one section 915 first and then followed by the Meds69 hahaha thats really funny, and then one panel Meds69 first then 915?
he wants to check which combination would last longer.

September 14th, 2010 01:55 AM #939Thats a damn good detail right there! Those are some really great results and shots on the hood, i love how sharp and clear they are and i love the depth, i guess thats why Zaino is on our Top 5 Sealants list, and i also give you credit for properly preparing the paint, Zaino would be useless on a poorly prepped paint, and thats one well prepped paint!
BTW did you use ZFX on those multi layers?

September 14th, 2010 01:57 AM #940The key to achieving that shine is proper paint preparation, meaning bringing the paint to its maximum potential prewax and sealant stage. and then it sort of goes over the top when you add sealants and waxes creating that look, paint preparation is 80% and LSP's are the last 20% in achieving the ultimate shine.
