July 24th, 2010 12:53 AM #11Its ok if you use Sliq and then OGE but not OGE then Sliq so yes you are right on your assumption about OGE
but if you ask me you should choose between sliq and OGE, choose one only and nowadays its rainy season Nanosliq so far has been the best QD/spraywax out there and the cost definitely pumps up its value

July 24th, 2010 01:01 AM #12Yes QD's are for gloss and spray waxes offer little protection, but if you are refering to OGE, OGE is a QD and the only protection it can offer is the reduction of the bonding of solid particles on the paint, thats its main selling point and depending on preference also gloss, OGE gives a better mirror shine, NanoSliq on the other hand even though considered mainly as a QD also functions as a spray wax because it is designed to boost NanoGlos' gloss and prolong its durability and we have seen that i have been able to provide protection and durability not to mention great beading to the paint so in that sense we also consider it as a spray wax and a great one on that too, its look its more on depth as it sort of makes the paint a little darker so its great for dark colored cars to give out that deep wet shine.
you don't need to let it drip wet, take not we only mist it on the paint, just about 4 to 6 sprays tops on the hood and thats it, and like what migs said too much will just be a waste layering on too much won't give you any more benefit
as for the moisture on the paint thats the coating moisture thats being stated on the label, it means you've already put on too much if it becomes noticeable, so slow down on using NanoSliq, one 500ml bottle could last us a whole month and just imagine the number of cars we detail and maintain.
as for leaving the waxes to cure, my take on that would always be to follow to manufacturers directions, if its a WOWO product then do as it says and wipe it off as soon as you apply it, if its says let dry to a haze, then do the finger swipe test to see if its dry, if it says let is dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour then do so, but generally waxes are WOWO method ( thats wax on wipe off )
