Ultimate Compound and Rubbing compound is the same in terms of function but UC is more effective and thats why its also scary, with UC you need less pressure to remove defects but its also a lot easier to make mistakes by removing too much paint, and UC also finishes better, rubbing compound on the other hand requires a little more pressure and requires technique to be able to work it properly but its pretty much safe, and if you're refering to the picture by weszt, that rubbing compound is actually formulate to be used by hand unlike the traditional rubbing compound thats formulated to be used with a machine, thats megs new rubbing compound and its good for compounding the tight and tough spots like near emblems and its pretty much safe, the main difference is that they use different abrasvies, UC uses SMAT and the rubbing compound uses DAT

ScratchX and SwirlX is also SMAT based products but they are much much less aggressive, scratchx being the more aggressive also for spot treatments and swirlx being the safest among them all, you see if you're using rubbing compound you might actually leave some compound swirls and scratches that should be removed by using a finer polish and this is where scratchx and swirlx comes in, its pretty much like in detail shops, once they use compounds its not glossy because the surface because isn't really smooth and fine so they use finer polishes to further refine the surface to improve the gloss, we even go up to a ultra fine polish to make the paint look like a mirror without any wax or sealant.

As with this sunday, why don't you catch up after your church?

As for how we use it, we don't dilute the kerosene with water, we just wash the whole car and then once done, we just spray kerosene directly onto the paint and let it sit for a good 3 to 5 minutes, spray again and remove it with a dedicated MF cloth or Terry towel.

Its quite safe to use every month although i don't think its neccessary, quarterly however is a good practice, and it is safe as long as you totally remove the kerosene, once we've removed all visible asphalts we wash the whole vehicle again and we use our fingers to test for any kerosene residue by looking for a squeeking sound, we sometimes also use a biodegreaser to help remove the kerosene making the washing process a lot easier. and don't forget to follow it up with a coating of wax

its ok if they spray kerosene on the whole car just as long as they thoroughly wash the whole car and don't leave any residue behind.

as far as i know it won't thin your clear coat, and we've used this for hundreds of car already and its pretty much safe except for one instance when our friend left his car soaked in kerosene and ran out to fetch his kids on sunday school and totally forgot about it, he remembered it when he came back at night thinking why his car was blurry and he washed the car down again to see that the paint sort of blurred a bit, but we just used a cleaner wax machine applied and the blur was gone so its really nothing serious.

its ok if the asphalt affected parts are only the lower part of the car, but there are some instance that it reaches even up to the windows

thanks ma'am... kaya lang medyo takot ako na purong kerosene gamitin like baka may kerosene residue akong di matanggal...is it ok lang ba na to dillute it with 50/50 with water?

you mentioned po yung biodegreaser, what brand po would you recommend? and how to use it?

yung sa cleaner wax naman madam, may maliit pa ako nito after applying po ba neto eh pwede na agad sundan ng sealant? ilan oras ang waiting time bago patungan ng sealant...

    thanks again madkatz...

i actually feel like i didn't get my answer regarding the topic but anyways, see we've just tested some glazes topped with KSG and we noticed that it does in a noticeable way affect the sealants durability, so i was asking for the good ones and i didn't quite get my answer but anyways, i found my answer from our mentor he recommended an acrylic glaze he said he'll ship over to us from the US its a purely acrylic glaze that makes KSG and polymers bond to it properly, its one of the few glazes that doesn't have any oils in it, but it costs a damn 150$ for 64oz but we're taking the bite since we can pay him later at September. and PB blackhole also works great on sealants so far, but we're still on the 6th week mark of checking its effect on KSG, i just hope it can last longer and not affect KSG at all so far all other glazes with KSG have already died down on beading and shine and right now only PB blackhole stands strong

also regarding the scratches, remember the hoods you guys used to practice rotary buffing? i've already tried wet sanding the thing and buffing it out again but it still has swirls in it, and if you look close enough i think its like the panel has been paint and then swirled and then painted again with clear coat because no matter how many times we compound the panel the same scratches always appear, so right now we're ruling out surface defect it looks like a painting defect already i think the painter got lazy and just sprayed on some clear coat without properly checking if the surface was swirl free before wet sanding the panel and laying the CC
Parang neutral yung sagot ni mike walang product na na recommend talaga/ Pero i think para maging fair sa mga suppliers nila since ang dami nilang products na inoofer sa autogeek.

yes you could use that as a cleaner but step 1 still cleans better, step 2 is more on enhancing gloss

honestly m21 is very expensive and thats the only reason why i don't recommend it as much but if you ask me m21 wins two hands down and it definitely offers far superior protection and gloss

thats actually what warmth and depth is, its the sort of deeper liquid look and sort of darker as well so for that look its NXT for you

well its pretty safe actually if you use it pure, just make sure you pass every part of your car with a washmitt with shampoo and your good to go, well to be honest there's no point in mixing water and kerosene since they actually don't mix hehe it may appear at time that they might mix at some point when you shake it but they really don't so even if you mix water what happens is you still put pure kerosene on the paint so its just a waste of effort, don't think too much about kerosene affecting the paint just concentrate on how you wash your car and all will be fine, try to attend this sunday if all goes well and see how they do it

the biodegreaser we use isn't readily sold in the market yet, but there are better ones out there, one of the famous things we use is simple green orange, just dilute the solution to 1part solution 4 part water and spray on to the kerosened area, leave it to soak a bit before you wash you car, this basically just removes the majority of the kerosene on the paint making washing a lot easier

as for the cleaner wax, once you wipe it really clean and once you're done you can already start applying your sealant, there is no waiting time for that, but if you want to layer your sealants then you would need to wait 24 hours to layer your new layer of sealant with the previous one and thats what we call curing time
