hein, you obviously haven't done your homework. And just for that, you don't get any pictures here. Read through the threads. Learn how to use tsikot's email forum links (you could be just 2-3 clicks away) and most of all, how to conduct yourself properly in a design e-forum community.
:nono: And don't get any ideas of submitting Chok to your bigboy bosses. Chok is MY son, hopefully the first of many sons and daughters (yup, cars have gender, too). Chok is not for sale or ransom to foreign automakers. Conceived in 2003, designed, and assembled in the Philippines by Filipinos, for Filipinos, the way Filipinos do (:cheers2, given Filipino circumstances. Fully patented and trademark registered.
DISCLAIMER: Though I have introduced Chok to Tsikot, I haven't bandied him in the threads, in observance of the no advertising rule, and also to avoid pre-empting whatever other style concepts may emerge from the other design enthusiasts. Chok is NOT the MVPMAP PhUV, nor is he the Tsikot PhUV, as he was conceived and born three years ahead.

The MVPMAP thread started by jamesvhong 13 Dec 2006 (Pinoy Utility Vehicle Bibili ba kau? - http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33667) eventually evolved into the Tsikot PhUV thread 06 Mar 2007 (Tsikot.ph PHUV Prototype - http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35915) when a group of tsikoteers decided to design their own PhUV.
So far, tahimik pa rin MVPMAP. I posted my own analysis last April, about MVPMAP's failure to launch (in response to hein's reklamo about "filipino time" - http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showp...&postcount=296), but sariling opinion ko lang naman yon.Last edited by dprox; May 11th, 2007 at 06:29 AM.

May 11th, 2007 11:42 AM #484On vehicle interior design ...
Market demand is driving the increased focus on vehicle interiors because consumers are demanding more for their money, says Ruediger Folten of Volkswagen Design in Wolfsburg, Germany.
"The interior has always been important to customers, but today they are more aware in the way they are perceived," Folten says. "Alongside the formal statement of the design, the feel of quality plays a major role. This poses the most important challenge for interior designers."
Rus Shafer concurs. He is director of industrial design for Magna International Inc.'s Intier Automotive interiors unit, which worked on the much-loved Mini Cooper passenger compartment.
That world has turned 180 degrees. In fact we're having vehicles now that are being built around an interior concept."
Adriana Monk of Ford's Ingeni design studio in London, who worked on the most recent Lincoln Continental concept says her employer, Ford - which recently announced it is tripling its investment in interior design - always has placed as much emphasis on interior as exterior.

In no way do I mean to lessen the importance of exterior styling. Just that the interior fit and finish impresses the consumer more and clinches the deal.

Please do correct me if I happen to be wrong: the last stamping plant in the country I heard of was of Ford, and it was phased out or sold out to China. In the ASEAN region, we specialize in supplying the car manufacturing world with good transmissions systems. You'd have to be a resourceful & determined car enthusiast/businessman to put up a stamping facility here. Well, that's how I understand it to be. Please bear with me & my little knowledge of car manufacturing. I'm also currently doing my own research.
Perhaps the local Wrangler(?) jeep facility (wherever that is) can help members of this forum. I think the local assembler was able to stamp some panels, while using some fiberglass for their other parts.
I'll ask around for more info.
Regards to all

I'd like to contribute some ideas and pics for the interior. My own little research has shown me that the concept of car interiors is indeed evolving around the consumer's lifestyle. For example, in the following pics, the lounge or "communication" style of seating is adapted. Please feel free to comment on the concept. Our jeepney style passenger-seating may lend itself to a fresh update if such is adapted to our Filipino vehicle concept. As we are obviously family and barkada-oriented, the local consumer may find this interior concept very akin to the culture and lifestyle.
