    *jsalcedo,

Drey is the one coordinating the sessions with the instructor. If there are enough interested students, I don't see any reason why sessions can't be held.

    Just pm drey.

In due time, like anything electronic, price will definitely go down. But for now, it is in short supply because of the flash shortage.

Also, the Eee PC uses an old Celeron M ULV processor that Intel has reportedly stopped manufacturing. In fact, Asus has already announced next generation models using newer Intel chips. However the caveat is that these newer Intel chips might not be ready until the 2nd half of 2008, notwithstanding Asus' announcement that the new models will be available Apr 2008. It has previously announced the Eee PC back in June this year and repeatedly postponed the actual launch until mid-October.

Since Asus has an established bestsellers on their hands, with projected sales for next year reaching as high as six million units, it may yet continue to manufacture the same models as long as Intel can produce the CPU. After all, Intel would find it difficult to turn down an order for six million processors.

But generally, the advice for notebooks/PCs is buy when you need. There will always be a better, faster, more powerful unit available within a week's time. That, or the same model will be become cheaper within a month or so.

That said, Everex is due to release its subnotebook early next month. It is currently being sold under the Packard Bell brand in Europe.
