    jpdm,

    Thanks.

No, I don't have any orders from abroad, but the German Fiat X1/9 is raising money(?) because they want to test it in Nurbergring. Honestly. Although, that will be far fetched. Now, I only build cars for my son and for myself. I am too old to be worrying about speaking and dealing with clients. I have decided to take it easy and not pressure myself, it is health related.

Maybe in 3 weeks I will be able to mount the subframe to the car and from there, proceed with the front subframe. I will be using forged aluminum spindles from a C5 corvette and forged aluminum A-arms that I will adapt for the Fiat. Steering will be power rack and pinion because my son has week arms.

By the way, on an inboard coilover shocks will bell crank has some advantages.
    1. You can easily vary the ride height by altering the length of the push rod even without adjusting the coilovers.
    2. You can theoretically vary the coil spring rate by adjusting the point at which they engage the bell crank.
    3. Maintenance is a zip because the spindles are not crowded by the Chapman strut.
    4. Unsprung weight is lightter.
    5. Camber/caster adjustment is a breeze because of the adjustable Heim joint rod ends.

    Thanks again.

    jpdm,

Everybody is welcome. But maybe on the later part of November. By that time, we may have normalcy back in our life. there are still many things to clean and repair. That is how we were hit by Ondoy.

But definitely, you are more than welcome. It is just about 15 minutes drive from Balintawak via NLEX.

    Oldschoolhack,

Thanks, I promise to finish the projects.

    Oyil,

Engineering exercise lang ito. Just to see if I can do it.

Just like what I did to my engine in 1986. I mounted a pair of Solex 44 side draft carbs to my 327 engine. It worked. And all vacuum and liquid hoses are stainless steel braided hoses. I machined all fitting and adpaters.

And this rear end suspension on my friends "Gray Eleanor". The leaf springs were replaced by inboard shocks with pus rod suspension.

And an Intake manifold that is not available in the market was done painstakingly for two weeks.

    All are working engineering exercises.

I dont beleive that all you did and what have been doing unitl now is an engineering exercise. All those has been done before, and you know from the back of your head that it will work.

You love doing this. This is your passion. And you do everything yourself, including the machining. bow ako dyan. I would like to end up like you - doing what i really love to do.

    back to my question:

    back to my question:
Bow rin ako kay turbo! The stuff that can get us our dream Pinoy vehicle on the road!
