September 14th, 2007 01:26 AM #32My friend at the LTO saw the pictures, pag ganon ang usok ng diesel engine ng PHUV borderline na sa particulate emissions limit. Then he got shocked when I told him it was a brand new Foton China-made engine. He said in a few months use, the particulate emissions of the PHUV will increase, as in all diesel engines. This is based on his ten-year experience.
Jpdm, are you qualified to claim that the thick smoke coming from the PhUV is safe sa mga bata? Or are you just guessing?
Would you let your parents or siblings breate that poison in?Last edited by dprox; September 14th, 2007 at 09:14 AM.

I think your friend is picking his nose... Mas okay pa nga yung PhUV sa Jeepney kasi Euro I Compliant na ang engine nito.
And btw, kahit naman mausok ang mga Japs, its no doubt na pinapatakbo nyo pa rin ang kotse. Don't get me wrong here, our government isn't too careful about servicing their cars as well.iam3739.com

September 14th, 2007 05:51 AM #35On paper its compliant. Haven't you heard of the recent recalls of Chinese-made tires, pet food, toys, batteries which were all safe-compliant until the consumers started experiencing problems.
I have been to Europe and have not seen a car that smokes like that on the streets.

September 14th, 2007 06:12 AM #402,000 out of 80,000,000 filipinos = 0.0025% ang laki naman nito to be statistically significant that the air pollution from vehicle emissions is the MAIN cause.
Sources of Air pollution is too big to be singled-out from vehicle emissions ALONE.
