Tandaan nyo, kayo ni ghosthunter, you started to insult me for posting anti-smuggling articles and posts here. Ghosthunter even invented a story that Im anti-poor because Im denouncing smuggling.
I will argue you will oppose. If I will disagree..raratsada na insulto mo. pag lumaban ako, ayan na si gjhosthunter at niky.
para kayong kuyog dito.
Thats why nag-post nalang ako ng articles for people to discuss the issue.

I read between the lines niky.
By the way, are you abandoning your tag team? Its so uncanny, you post at the right time and the right moment...when things are heating up...Especially between your friend and uls and me. And your common enemy is me.What a coincidence, di ba niky? I admire you for coming to the defense of your friends.
Anyway, right now, Im in my office with alots of people following this lively debate between me and uls.Last edited by jpdm; June 18th, 2010 at 07:15 PM.

After that kung alam nilang they will not win with their arguments. Isasarado ni GH yung thread.
I remember this thread was closed sometime ago but forcibly open again.
Ngayon alam ko na, they protect their own vested interest and so called successful junk businesses.

Si ghosthunter at niky came to the rescue.
Hindi patas lumaban mga ito.
Lahat yan dahil lang sa nagpo-post ako ng mga articles regarding the new government's promise to rid the country of rampant smuggling.
Last edited by jpdm; June 18th, 2010 at 07:40 PM.

hanggang ngayon di parin nagets
slow talaga eto
(somebody pls post a link to the thread kung saan nagpost si jpdm nga mga pix ng PUJs that he's so proud of)
why didnt you come to the defense of your pathetic PUJs that are being threatened with extinction by stricter govt regulations?
alam mo baket?
so kahit pwede ma-outlaw ang PUJs at i-replace ng new mini buses made my Mitsubishi/Almazora, wala kang comment
kaya tinawag ka nila anti poor
coz you're on the side of the new-car-makers who stand to benefit from the abolition of the PUJ
gets mo na?
o kailangan pa ulitin sayo SLOWLY?Last edited by uls; June 18th, 2010 at 07:43 PM.

kaya ko nasabi wala ka conviction
aside from past examples, this is the latest example of your weak conviction
madali ka ma-sway
mula nung nalaman mo nasa Japan used import sector ako, naging todo anti-Japan used ka
kasi lahat yan japan used ang makina
coz now, you are totally anti-Japan used and totally pro-brand new
which is why they called you anti poor

Back to regular programming.
Again an old article to prove that smuggling of vehicles is negatively affecting local industries and government revenues.
The success of the MVDP is anchored also on the ability of the government to strictly imposed laws prohibiting THE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY CALLED SMUGGLING.
No amount of spin can make an illegal act legitimate.

By ARIS R. ILAGAN
December 4, 2009, 1:53pm
Manila Bulletin
Officials of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) Wednesday dared political personalities eyeing the presidential post to make a definite stand against smuggling of second-hand imported vehicles which is depriving the country of some P175 billion of annual revenue.
Elizabeth H. Lee, CAMPI president, said: “Although there has been a positive growth of 2.3 percent for the first 11 months of 2009 with more than 127,000 units sold, more can be done to improve the local automotive industry primarily by stamping out the unabated smuggling of second-hand imported vehicles.”
Lee cited two factors in the positive growth rate of the local auto sales: the devastation of typhoon Ondoy that pushed owners of flood-damaged vehicles to purchase new units; and the influx of multi-billion peso remittances from overseas Filipino workers.
However, Lee pointed out that the local automotive business cannot be considered fully recovered when the present sales figures are compared with the 1996 sales chart which peaked to 162,095 units sold.
The CAMPI president noted that even with the laws against the importation of second-hand vehicles, used units – including high-value luxury cars – continue to land on the country’s shores through technical smuggling.

She said a Supreme Court ruling in 2004 upheld a previous government ruling against the importation of second-hand vehicles, while Republic Act 8506 banned the importation of right-hand drive vehicles.
Former Senator Wigberto “Bobby” Tañada, chairman of the Fair Trade Alliance who was among the guest speakers during the CAMPI media conference, echoed the statements on the negative effects of the illegal importation of second-hand vehicles.
Citing government figures, Tañada said that in 2003, the LTO registered a total of 195,564 “new” vehicles but only 92,336 were from the sales of local automotive manufacturers and dealers.
“Smuggling must be stopped – it is literally killing thousands of jobs,” Tañada emphasized.
There are about 77,000 Filipinos who are directly employed in the local automotive industry with more than half a million dependents.
“It is the unabated smuggling and importation of second -hand vehicles and used engines and motor parts from Japan, United States and Korea, that have caused the local automotive market to decline,” the former senator said.
He also stressed the need to immediately pass into law the Anti-Smuggling Bill which has been approved by the House of Representatives but is still pending in the Senate.

Tsaka, wag kang masyadong magmagaling uls.
Pinagpipilitan mo interpretasyong mong mali-mali. lagi mong pinangangalandakan opinion mo laban sa articles (research paper made by professors from Kyoto university; press released from government and private sector ( DTI, BOI, CAMPI, MVPMAP, FTA, FPI)na pinost ko.
Between you opinion and their opinion obviously mas credible sila keysa sa iyo.
Last edited by jpdm; June 18th, 2010 at 08:14 PM.
