Estimate nila umabot ng 2k plus or was it 3k all in. I declined to proceed since its expensive. Might as well get a surplus.
Installation of the condenser and charging cost a thousand. Mahal na din kay mang mar.
Soon, nagka tagas pa din, brought it to my ninong's shop, replaced the surplus part with a new one. 850php only for the new condenser sa a/c supply store and replaced evap too. Now okay na.
For freon charging, Mang Mar's price is cheaper vs other shops. Di ako palagay gumawa yung isa, yung ryan.

April 24th, 2009 09:23 PM #782i just wanna share my experience with Mang Mario's service.
i am one of the satisfied clients when i brought my honda city 2000 last 2006 to Mang Mario. i stay in malate. the problem then was the aircon works intermittently. They removed a washer from my compressor which made it work normal.
A year after, i decided to have it cleaned. but what troubles me is after that cleaning every 3 months my freon always gets fully depleted. and every time i went back they say it's a gasket, then a coupling then a shaft seal etc. the last time i was there was oct of 2008. And as expected, there's no more freon in jan this year. So i decided not to go back to them and just went to a nearby aircon shop and have my freon refilled.
I appreciate their intention of giving low price service. but i guess you get what you paid for. Sa dami ng customers nila esp on saturdays, which is my only free day to have it fixed, it seems quality of their service is sacrificed.
Now i'll be looking for a good aircon shop around makati or p'que reasonable price.

Went there yesterday. Brought a Field Master Pajero. Owner was complaining of 'hilaw ang lamig' and 'natatalo' when the weather was hot. Other shops were quoting thousands and recommending a laudry list of replacements.
Norman checked the unit. Turned out to be a burned relay. One of the round ones on the driver's side inner fender. He put a new one in and did a free check of the rest of the system.
A/C now blows cold. Php 500.00 for the part (I could have bought one myself but I was there already).
Same car owner recently spent Php14k on a/c repairs on his Starex Millenium at an a/c shop along 10th Avenue Caloocan. But even up to now, the system still ices up and refuses to blow cold on numerous occasions.

i had our crv gen 1 fixed there. way back 2006 pa ata. replaced hose. karga freon ulet. linis aircon. twice na napalitan un fan pati motor. lumalamig na ulet pero on hot days mdyo hilaw un lamig. natatalo ika nga.
recently. i had our civc 96 fixed there also. hindi lumalamig. pero prior to that. aircon was cool naman. mang mario's son took a look at the car. the problem was the fan. hindi na umiikot. so palit fan. then pinalinis ko na rin. linis only 600. fan was 2000. tinawaran ko ng 2300 total ata. i got mixed results. *btw, we got this second hand year 2007. the milleage was only 36k then. now its 46k
-the civic has 4 settings ng fan. nasira un #1. so simula na sya sa #2. mdyo malakas buga ng hangin.
-now the aircon is not cool anymore. its FREEZING. kahit tanghaling tapat naka bilad. after lets say 15 mins. malamig sobra sa loob ng kotse. i have full magic tints on all windows. not 3M.
-sa gabi, ang panay rekalmo sa akin eh masyadong malamig daw un aircon. baket walang #1 daw. pinapatay ko nalang un temp switch once in a while.
i did not complain to mang mario about the switch anymore. since luma narin un kotse(prone to sira na). at sayang lang gas ko at oras para bumalik sa kanila para makipag argue about the switch. but hey, i got wat i wanted. a cool aircon.
thank you

i was at mang mario's last monday afternoon lang... between 3:30 - 4:00pm ako nakarating.. my goal: to convert my jdm evap, install, linis, kabit, karga ng refrigerant.
in all, Php900 total ;)

July 11th, 2009 11:53 PM #790Need your opinion guys ASAP!
i went to Mang Mario just this morning aroung 11 am. Hinanap ko tlga sya at muntik pa me maligaw. This is about aircon of my pajero car, laging nawawalan ng aircon ilang beses ko na pinapagawa, kng ano ano sinasabi ng mga shops, kesyo may tagas, kulang sa freon, tapos sa auxillary fan naman, so pinalitan na ung auxillary fan at ung mga hose pinalitan na din at nagpalagay na me ng new freon, pero after 1 week mawawala ulit ang aircon. So tired na sa ganung situation. So i searched sa net kng saan merong reliable at magaling gumawa ng aircon, kahit may mga negative comments na kay Mang Mar pinuntahan ko kc malapit lng sa place ko. At upon check up sabi ng anak ni Mang Mar na sira na daw compressor nag stuck up na. So he recommended na palitan na of course, i asked him kng pedeng repair na lng sa compressor sabi nya nde na daw pede, palit tlga, tapos ito ang quote price ni Mam Nora, wife ni Mang Mar:
Surplus compressor + Freon + Oil + Labor = 6,900
Orig Drier = 900
Total = 7,800
Is this a good deal in price na ba?
Thanks in advance.
