Honestly, I don't know. The one installed in CR-V, the brand is NSW. For the other one, the one came from the factory. No problem with Microtex, as long as I do it right. I mean, I have to polish it properly. Otherwise, it won't last long and the wipers will skip.

Interesting, I'll test out these products and compare these with Glass Science. When was the last time you applied these?

That's impressive! My glass science rain clear gel is only good for 2 rainy weeks, sometimes less if there's intense heavy rains due to the monsoon. Beyond 2 weeks the water beading is not that good anymore. During summer it can last at least for a month.

I use Glass Science for a daily driven car around metro manila. The dusty environment along those truck infested roads can really make it hard to keep the windshield clean.

Do you use your wiper for several minutes at a time? I saw a blogger and shes got her wiper on even when windshield is mostly dry...

I only use the wiper if it's raining. With the heavy rains during to the monsoon season here in PH, using the wiper is a must. I can still see good water beading on those areas not covered by the wiper (especially at the door/rear windows and sunroof) but during a monsoon season the hydrophobic qualities of the gel is only good up to 2 weeks.

We use the wiper when it pours...

When it lightly drizzles.. wiper blades are not as lubricated hence stripping off glass treatments

Mine is daily driven too. Have not used any other brand so far. It’s my first time to use this rain repellents in December. My previous car did not get any benefit of this, unfortunately and had developed a lot of marks☹️.

Anyway, my practice is I dust-off the windshield and glass window everytime I get home and buff it out. If it is too soiled/dirty, I wipe off with a wash mitt over a running/hose water. I seldom wash it with shampoo. I don’t know if this is what made it last but so far I’m happy with it.
