    I used to administer some defunct forums but now moved on to FB administering over 10 FB groups.

    When i used to admin forums, we give mod status to folks who are active(and have time) and can executive fair judgement. I am not a fan of being too strict about forum rules. Mods can step in if someone is out of line.
