My friends made me feel guilty for not tipping. I said it is not practiced. The drivers can rate us din pala, baka bigyan ako low rating? I am very happy with Uber. It's cheap using the normal rates. Manong driver said that Uber stopped getting Vios cars na because it often gets cancelled by users. I got a new Vios for my first two rides nga.

Uber drivers are compensated better than taxi drivers because of the surge pricing plus they have better work conditions so really no need to tip.

Thanks Walter. What happens if there are no black cars available? Is there a way I can be notified. It's kinda hard to stare at my phone until a car comes up. I've been checking constantly. I am not at CBD now kasi.

Just Uber for now since it's cheaper than Grab Taxi during off peak hours plus the convenience of not needing to pay cash. Don't think there's a way for it to notify, Uber mostly operates in Fort, Makati and MOA areas. There's also Easy Taxi, 40 pesos booking fee.
