i didnt bother to research who founded Grab and what his/her philiosophy is

obviously Grab copied Uber's business model

Whatever the reason and the back story, it is the public who will ultimately feel the downturn. Then they will have this self-imposed prerogative to choose passengers.

    Parang nauna Grab.

Wala pa Uber noon, may Grabtaxi na.

App based booking, though yung App nila hindi distributed to the people.

Grab employees lang may App, and they'll do the booking for you in their booths sa mga malls.

well i'm not interested in Grab

so i didn't bother to read up on its history

i'm only interested in unicorns (companies with more than $10B valuation that haven't gone public yet -- meaning they're still privately held)

like Uber, Didi Chuxing, Airbnb etc

i haven't been watching Grab coz it's relatively small

but with latest fund raising Grab is gaining on Uber

they're gonna get $2B from Softbank and Didi Chuxing

valuation is now above 5 B

I mean pano nga kung nagka-akisidente. cases are settled in court. how can a rider be represented kung ang kalaban nya eh UBer/Grab + Operator coz of neglect. eh hindi ka tutulungan ng gobyerno nyan, coz colorum yan eh.

I think tama ang LTFRB. si deakin mali. sasabihen nila may insurance. Private insurance are also subjected by govt. laws. eh kung sabihin ng gobyerno na mali ang insurance at tanggalan ng permit. pwede gamitin ng insurance para hindi magbayad.
