    I find it more convenient to take the train or taxi while in SG.

    Also it would be wise to have the phone number to a couple of cab companies if you plan to go to certain areas not normally serviced by taxi cabs or it is late at night. This way, you can request for a pickup at your location. I once had a late night out with a friend of mine who works in SG. She just called for a taxi pickup to our location because no cabs normally pass through the area.

    oo nga eh, yung problem talaga kasi LHD sila, baka mahirap
    Im starting to think rental cars are more for places like USA or Australia

    Agree here. Take the bus and train as much as possible (get one of those stored value cards) and keep the taxi cab number handy. You'll be fine without a car.
