I prefer delsey brand and yung fabric material pag checked in baggage, those hard case luggages after several use ay nababasag lalo na kng mabigat, binabagsak yata ng mga luggage handler sa airport.

binibihisan ng ibang owners, yung hard case luggages nila.
    protection against dings and scrapes.

    but i prefer soft.
i can squeeze in more clothes, than if it were hard case.

we used to use and use this ancient samsonite. non-plastic hard case, with snap locks. kahit wala pang laman, ay mabigat na.
it looked so old and sorry, despite the fact that the locks weren't working (wouldn't lock), no one bothered to rummage thru it.

Meron din kami old samsonite, malaki ng konti sa dimensions ng hand carry (about 10% more) and luggage pa lang 3.5 kgs na, so bale 3.5 kgs na lang pwede ilagay para pumasok sa hand carry.

Totoo yan Doc, you can squeeze in more clothes and pasalubong pag soft luggage and you won't worry pa about ding and scratches.

There's a big difference between hard cases. One is hard shell and the other, soft shell. The other is of course, hard and heavy. The other soft, flexible and light.

My Samsonites are soft shell and is virtually indestructible. I've received my luggage from the carousel one time with a dent and all I did was to open it up and push it from the inside. Good as new.

This commercial is not fake. I can attest to it, for sure. LOL!

My other Samsonite soft shell (hardside series) is scratch resistant. The others have scratches, but not that noticeable. Some, I can wipe off with a damp cloth. As for the hard shell ones, yes, you do need to have it covered as it can scratch easily.

I owned a lot of fabric luggages and it tears easily after some travel adventures. I gave some away and I kept one and used it for my groceries as a trolley bag. Lmao!

Thus, my shift to soft cases. Never have to worry about changing it ever again.
