we need a place to stay overnight for 4 persons (2 adults + 2 minors).. we're scheduled for an interview kasi at 7am but we need to be there daw an hour earlier. Any suggestions on a decent but inexpensive hotel na malapit lang sa US embassy...

Anyway, how about Holiday Inn? Right across McDonalds?
just a few blocks down the Embassy.

Bayview lang talaga ang pinaka malapit dyan sa US embassy. Saka yan ang mura. kaya lang ... tiis ka sa service nila. Pero OK lang din naman.

Unless you have something else to do, there is no need to be there by 6. If you can arrive at 6:45, you will be able to get in around 7:05, and will be interviewed by the consular officer between 10 and 11am... Talagang ganon. Kunyari lang yung 7, 7:30, 8 at 8:30. Tanghali ka na makakalabas.
Medyo OT...
Tips:
Leave your phones behind. Kukunin din sa 'yo sa gate. Wag na lang. Balikan mo na lang sa car or sa hotel room.
Bring a book, or kung may kasama ka maghanda ng maraming kwento. (Di ko sure kung puwede ang walkman/mp3 player.)
Snacks, especially if you have kids - mga biscuit lang or sandwich.
If you're non-immigrant I can walk you through the steps...Last edited by the_wildthing; March 31st, 2005 at 10:53 AM.

the_wildthing: thanks for the tip.. yes, we're non-immigrant. and 1st time na mag-apply for a US visa (but my wife had 2 US visa nun bata pa siya).. can u guide me through..

yes, 1 night stay lang. basta decent naman, okay lang yun.. sensya na, malayo kasi location ko sa US embassy (2.5-3 hrs drive) kaya much better to stay there overnight kesa magmadali sa byahe sa umaga..
baka meron may alam ng number ng Bayview..
