August 27th, 2004 03:00 PM #3TIMYONG,
I used to work/live in Hongkong for 4 years. At first, it's normal that you will have a bit Homesick & culture shock the way people walk & talk to you. But, as soon as you get involved on the system of society, you will be more feel safe & at home compared dyan sa Pinas. What I really don't like is a limited space at your home and almost everywhere is crowded, not to mention some other parts of HKG like New Teritorries.
Anyway, you will be enjoy here for sure if you really like shopping, seems that anything you want are here tax free and now the government are very serious in promoting HKG and getting rid of so many RUDE salesperson.
GOODLUCK!
BERMUT

uyy...hehehe welkam kabayan... bakit mo nasabing magma-migrate ka dito sa Hong Kong? Migrate ba as in wala ka nang balak bumalik dyan sa Pinas?
I've been here for around 8 years na, in fact I am a resident of Hong Kong already. I am not a chinese by genes so kung citizen ka dito I am assuming that you are a of chinese born and can speak cantonese/mandarin right now like ser theveed...mas madali kang makaka-adapt dito kung marunong ka nang lenggwahe nila...
Hong Kong is a safe place to live in...kahit madaling araw kang maglakad mag-isa sa kalsada walang makikialam sa iyo dito..... standard of living is very high, limited space ang mga bahay (flats) but makakasanayan mo na rin in the long run unless you already have a big flat that your parents own previously.
teka ser, anong trabaho ba ang pupuntahan mo dito, or magtatayo ka nang business mo dito....for me migrating here are not necessary...kasi mami-miss mo pa rin ang pinas knowing in just 1hr and 45 minutes eh nasa pinas ka na....kaya maganda pa rin na meron kang babalikan dyan sa atin...well its just me...maybe meron kang ibang reasons...
If you need more info, just post it here, maybe I can help you in some way.....basta wag lang pera....hehehe
