A/T Reverse Gear Problem HELP!!!

Guys help!

Ngaun ko lang nexperience with my A/T Toyota Corolla Big Body, I did not know, basta na lang nung magpunta na ako ng MOA yesterday, magpapara na sana ako ng pa reverse, kaso ang nangyari eh AYAW MAGREVERSE! Yikes!! Pinilit ko, stepped on Gas a little bit kasi baka mamaya biglang umatras tamaan ko pa yung ibang sasakyan pero ayaw pa din.

Nasa Reverse Gear naman yung transmission ko and hindi naman nakaangat yung handbrakes or whatever pero wala talaga ayaw. So ginawa ko umikot ikot muna ako dun sa parking ng MOA kasi natatakot ako magpark facing the wall, mamaya di ko na mailabas kasi ayaw nga magreverse.

Then I thought of consulting the nearest talyer or whatever, ang unang pumasok sa isip ko is yung Goodyear Servitek near Park N Fly, so lumabas agad ako ng MOA.

Then while I was on Macapagal infront of the Shell Power Station, tumabi ako sandali and then tried again yung reverse, aba, it seemed like wala naman problema. Kumagat agad and umaatras naman kagad.

Ngayon natatakot ako baka mamaya ayaw nanaman umatras, but I think it would happen again in the near future, what do you think is the problem? San kaya ok magpa diagnose? para man lang maagapan kung maari...

By the way, walang Problem sa kahit anung gear. Drive gear works fine, D2 Gear Works fine, L gear works fine. Neutral gear works fine (hindi naman umaandar pag naka neutral

"just kidding")

Pero any ideas mga kuya, ate, sir, kapatid, kaibigan??

kailan ka pa huling nagpalit nang ATF fluid baka marumi na . Check mo rin ang level ng ATF fluid sa dipstick baka kulang.

+1 sa ATF level , baka nga kulang sa ATF.

ok, going to do that, by the way, what kind of ATF ba ang para sa Toyota? I can read sa dipstick na may naka engraved na Dexron II yata yun, yun ba yun? kahit san auto shop ba meron nun??

my friend who also had the same problem with her bigbody corolla. sabi nya nag palit na sya ng atf based on a mechanic's suggestion... pero ganun pa din. obserbahan na lang daw. so tinanung ko sa friend ko na may talyer(Stage 1) ano problema ng ganun.

dapt daw hindi lang drain kasi yung dumi nakakapit pa din sa loob, dun sa strainer/filter. dapat ibaba yung tranny pan. para malinis yun.

so pinagawa dun sa Stage 1 and now the tranny works fine. plus gumanda hatak.

ATF will not solve the problem at this point. You need to buy a rebuild kit and have a reputable ATF specialist rebuild the tranny. I had the same problem on my BMW and had it rebuilt with a clutch kit for the AT. The reason you no longer have reverse is because the clutches in the AT for that gear are burned. Get the rebuild kit and have it done rather than buying a new AT which will be more expensive.

ah, baka kelangan na din siguro ipalinis yun. Saan po yung Stage 1 na sinasabi nyo? hirap kasi maghanap ng specialist ng A/T...
