March 24th, 2014 11:59 AM #1Hi guys,
I just wanna get some infos about Subaru's CVT tranny. Is is a lot better than Honda's famous Jazz's CVT? Nakakatakot lang kasi bumili ng car na CVt ang tranny. I like the AWD of Subaru pero kung hindi pa nila perfected yung CVt nila might as well settle for a Mazda.
So can anyone shed share some info's about this.
Tnx

They paired a turbo with their CVTs so I guess they're pretty confident with it. Honda's CVT problems were caused by incorrect fluid put in by the manufacturer (ATF instead of CVTF) and incorrect fluid used by owners (either nagtitipid or clueless lang talaga). IIRC Honda also used a rubber belt CVT. Subaru uses a steel belt.
