June 18th, 2012 09:11 PM #1Hi all,
The warranty on our 2009 Civic FD is expiring this July, and I'm trying to have Honda troubleshoot this but yet to no avail.
Symptoms:
1. Shifter is *sometimes* lazy to disengage from 1st. Does not happen all the time - inconsistent between smooth shifts and the shifter being unwilling to be hastily removed from 1st gear. Irritating to drive especially when you want to drive rather spiritedly. Clutch pedal already fully pressed.
2. 2nd gear HAS popped out when shifting rather quickly. Also felt a metallic crunch on occasion despite the clutch pedal being fully pressed.
Honda has already replaced the clutch master & slave cylinder already. No go.
Any ideas I can suggest to them? Synchros na kaya ito? Pressure plate? Odometer is around 14,000. I drive the car personally so I know I don't grind the gears or anything due to letting off the clutch pedal prematurely.
Thanks.Last edited by mda; June 18th, 2012 at 09:28 PM.
