What could be the type of tint should be installed for RFID to work properly? I am hesitant to install a new one because of this.

    .

probably the clear ones like tints offered by Huper Optik (CS series), 3M Crystalline, Vkool, etc. they are effective in blocking the sun's heat but then you are also visible from the outside...

went down to manila 2 weeks earlier and went to 3 shell and Petron stations along NLEX and they said all the have is the RFID sticker for the WS and HL, I would've opted for the HL RFID sticker but they said it can't be for HL that are LED/HID and with or w/o DRL. They didn't give me a good reason why it is not advisable on cars with LED/HID headlights.... kata d nlang aka nagpalagay...

Ang lagi ko naririnig, lahat ng V-kool, kelangan butasan, to work properly.

Pag 3M, it depends yata what kind.

    The ordinary 3M's, no problem.

    Di kelangan mag-butas.

    May tester naman.

At pwede sila mag-butas for you, just sign a waiver.

If that is the case, perhaps I can request the installer to remove first the tint then come back later once the RFID is installed.

I know someone, pinalagay niya muna yung RFID, bago pinainstall yung VKool tint sa front windshield.

Yung tinter / tint shop na ang nag-butas para sa kanya.

Yes, you can't reinstall it. What I meant is, I ask them to remove the old tint then install the RFID before the new tint.

At the very least, the warranty for the tint is not voided.

That's my experience rin sir. Sa Mazda 3 namin na naka-3M, windshield rfid yung sa SLEX tapos headlight sa CAVITEX.

Sa Everest namin na naka-VKool, talagang headlight rfid pareho.

Sunbloc Non Plus Ultra Ceramic Tint. Installed RFID in my windhshield without any issues. They have this 'barcode gun' to check if it can read the sticker before installing it.
