... but unfortunately you aren't in sweden... the NLEX is not long enough for your ten minutes at 250kph. If someone checks what you are "claiming", just make sure your "claims" are factual. People do not appreciate BOGUS claims.

if i where you stop hating and go ahead with the TOPIC. im just telling you guys what i expirienced at NLEX *read topic* thanks hater!

I don't hate you, you assume too much, in fact I'm laughing right now at your claim...a sustained speed of 250kph for 5 to 10 mins?? Come on, 5 to 10 seconds is more believable.

I seriously doubt if your bike is equipped to sustain that speed for 10 mins. It would take a lot of expensive mods and motocross GP technology to be able to achieve that. Just accept the fact that you bragged and nobody bought it. Better luck next time. Peace!

what's motocross GP? isn't motocross supposed to be dirtbikes? dirtbikes run 250kph? are you sure?

i've seen this guy ride, he's got no sense of danger.

i don't doubt his claims about 250kph. 10 minutes might be exaggerated, but remember, the closer you are to the speed of light, the slower time becomes for you. hehehe.

lighten up guys.

Greetings to all!
I'm not here to stir up the hornets' nest... lets just say I'm here to clarify a few things.

First of all, Mr. Sidewayz rides a 2005 Honda CBR600RR. 600cc sportbikes are capable of reaching speeds of 160++mph (250kph) easy. Maintaining that speed all depends on the rider.
I do have to admit that blasting down NLEX at that high rate of speed is quite dangerous and irresponsible, but lets all be honest, we all have been guilty of speeding.
Once you see a perfectly straight, clear road, the urge to go fast is hard to ignore. Be it a car, a motorcycle, a scooter or heck... even a bicycle.

Secondly, the claim of going 250kph for 10 mins could be exaggerated. But he could have meant: "While riding along NLEX for 10 minutes, at a certain point, I reached a top speed of 250kph". :D

Thirldy, Mr. Sidewayzs' bike is modified. From the endcan to the air filter to the velocity stacks right down to the sprockets. I guess he wants his bike to stand out and be faster than the other CBR600s out there. Just like what we do with our cars.

Lastly, Motocross bikes are motorcycles that are designed to run/race on dirt roads/tracks. I'm sure they don't reach speeds of 250kph becuse they have smaller engines.
I think Mr. Galactus was referring to MotoGP motorcycles that reach 300++kph and built strictly for that purpose.

Ride and drive safe to all!
Peace.

another question you should all ask yourselves is: "have i ever driven a superbike?" if not.. i suggest you all just shut up and ride.

seriously, 250kph on a straight is easy, i have reached similar speeds at the katipunan stretch (not as long a stretch as NLEX, but just to prove speeds are possible on roads not as lengthy as NLEX or SLEX for that matter). 222kph to be exact. any monkey can reach high speeds on a straight road.. the other question would be... would this monkey have the balls to?

as for the 10 minutes sidewayz is talking about.. well, at those speeds, wala ka nang kilala kundi ikaw, yung bike at ang daan... the duration may seem longer than it actually is.

anyway, i repeat.. any rider will agree that these speeds are possible. i am not an advocate for irresponsible driving/riding, all im saying is it IS possible.

waw talagang compute pa haha! was running 250++kph if i was wrong abt the 10 min then my bad. the traffic was so light wala masyado sasakyan dumadaan. about the 10 min run im sure it was not below 10-5 min
i'm not disputing that your bike can reach that speed. i'm just wondering how you can sustain that speed (10 minutes before, now down to 5) from balintawak toll plaza (km11) to tabang exit (km32) with a distance of 21 kms only..

facts:
250 kph = 4.16km per minute
4.16 kms x 5 minutes (at least) = 20.83 kms travelled
balintawak toll to tabang exit = 21 kms
big curve at bocaue interchange where you need to slow down a bit

no offense meant here. i'm just reacting to the post as it is. just stating the facts...no more, no less. well if you say that this happened, then so be it...

Any monkey can clearly see that I wasn't doubting the 250kph top speed. Of course its possible with superbikes and supercars. We dont have to ride a superbike to shut up and know that. But what is clearly bogus is the claim that it was sustained for 10 minutes. Its not a case of "might be exaggerated." It's simply exaggerated. Period.

Also, driving at that speed on a public road is ILLEGAL and highly irresponsible. There are other motorists out there, and anybody driving at 250kph would be like a blur. Hindi agad nila mapapansin yun and there's little time to maneuver in case of emergency. Result = accident. And then thanks daw for the warning na may nanghuhuli ng overspeeding sa NLEX. Hello??? As I said, buti sana kung sila lang maaksidente, eh chances are, may madadamay pang iba. There are racetracks, why not just race there?

P.S. Yes, I did mean MotoGP (not Motocross GP). Don't know why I typed those extra letters, puyat na siguro ako kagabi

thanks for the welcome folks

as for you mr. galactus... lets not be hypocrites here. based on your sig you drive a sentra and an accord... but for arguments sake lets say you drive a ferrari... i wont say superbike because im sure you cant relate.. comparing cars and bikes is like comparing apples and bananas... anyway...

so youre cruising along NLEX, on your fire engine red 500hp ferrari, you will be tempted to gun the engine once in a while wont you? if you say this is something you wont ever do... then i will call you a liar.

you dont have to get all preachy about speed limits, im sure we all know whats illegal and what isnt. besides... there are enough signs on the road that warn us, if you want, tumayo ka sa gilid ng NLEX holding up a sign that says "SPEED LIMIT 120kph"
