High beams throw light further down the road. It's also wider than the low beams. It gives you ample time to react to obstacles at highway speeds.
Of course you have to switch back to low beams when another vehicle is ahead regardless of if they're going the opposite way or in the same direction.

May 29th, 2015 10:22 AM #5On my own experience, ginagamit ko yung hi beam kapag:

Informing slow car infront to give way (expressway).
Pitik pitik approaching intersection (no traffic lights) during at night, same as pag kurbada yung daan.
While at halt then yung asa unahan mo bumitaw sa preno and hindi niya alam umaatras na siya

Like a virgin...You will soon know how to use "it"
At night you can switch on your headlight and stand in front of your vehicle(park position of course)
Then try highbeams...and try standing in front of your car...maybe 4 car lengths away
Experience the 55w high beams. LmaoLast edited by StockEngine; May 28th, 2015 at 09:02 PM.

Useful in carving mountain roads and lonely highway driving, plus warning to overtake or to prompt slower vehicles to give way in the fast lane.
