Hi people. Just have a few questions on experiences or any new practice or procedures on using my brand new vehicle while the car dealer is applying for my license plates.

    1. When I got my starex, the dealer told me that in lieu of the plates, OR & CR, the invoice and delivery certificate will take its place. Is this true? Is this the real legal way and is accepted by cops, LTO and the likes (in the event na ma-sita)?
    2. How long can one use the invoice and delivery receipt issued by the car dealership in lieu of the plates/OR/CR. someone told me 1 week, another 7 working days. Ilan ba talaga?
    3. Kailangan ba oriniginal ang dalang invoice?
    4. How long is the average processing time these days before one gets his plates, OR & CR.
    5. May nasita na ba sa inyo at na question o nahirapan o kinokotongan ng pulis dahil invoice lang and dala niyo?

Hope to hear fro you guys.

    Thanks.

Sabihin mo bumyahe ka agad ng Manila-Baguio-Quezon on the 1st week of ownership para ma-break in. :D

When we first bought our new car, amazed din ako bakit napakaraming inissue na invoice kaya pala para sa mga weeks na darataing hanggat wala pa yun plaka.

I remembered one time we got flagged down dahil wala pa plates yun tropa ko, and naibigay niya is maling invoice naibigay niya is yung para sa parating na susunod na linggo pa lang. Ayun mahabang paliwanagan, in the end inamin na din ng tropa ko na ganun nga ang sistema. Hindi naman nagulat yung pulis, alam na din nila yung diskarte ng mga car dealers na mag issue ng multiple invoices.

What my dealer gave me was an conduction sticker exemption permit and it is valid for a month. At least this is an official document from lto so no need to bring your several invoices as what the ohers have said yung ibang enforcer will look at your odometer reading. I think the average waiting time is 2-3 months but when I got my specialized plates 3 weeks lang

Balak kong humingi nito sa Diamond Motors
Just want to make sure na tama ang ibibigay sa akin.

    Thanks

When I followed up my plates today, I was given the same LTO Memorandum Circular that vinj has, along with a photocopy of a news clipping stating that LTO was (as of April 2012) in the process of bidding out "Aluminum Substrates", which supposedly explains why there is a delay in the issuance of new car plates.

The dealer however already gave me a photocopy of the OR & CR for my vehicle, but said documents did not indicate any license plate number.
