March 5th, 2020 03:18 PM #9Sa automatics naman, if during acceleration mo talaga ang diin mo sa silinyador/accelarator tinutulak yung engine to go to 3000rpm, then that is how the car will shift.
Again, pacheck mo if it really is a concern. Not going to immediately tell you to replace sparks and/or change oil.
Asa amin pa din ngayon yung Altis, back to "normal" ngayon.
EDIT: Going to what GTi said, Single VVTi lang itong Altis na carryover sa alam ko from the smaller body/lighter 2001 Altis pa. Later nung nagawa nila Dual VVTi yung Altis generation nito, medyo hindi na ganun kahirap yung makina to accelerate

March 5th, 2020 03:19 PM #10Yes, this is a relatively small displacement gasoline engine, and I would even say it is somewhat to be expected to be reaching 3000rpm to get going at a decent pace. If you prioritize fuel efficiency, try to keep the revs lower, preferably letting it shift at around 2000rpm. But otherwise, driving this way regularly will not negatively affect the engine. That is, after all, only halfway through its entire rev range.
