Anybody changed their HU to an aftermarket one? Does the steering wheel control sync easily with it? Disappointed with our stock HU. Spotify does not work using an Android phone.

My Altis is a 1.6G AT, where it doesn't have BT yet. I tried both my Oppo F1s and Samsung Note 3 on it and it doesn't work using the USB cable. My iPhone 6S though works perfectly fine. Irritated by this, I upgraded the stock Panasonic HU to a Sony XAV-650BT.

Sound on the Sony is miles better than stock. It has a lower noise floor, sounds larger and the BT quality is impressive.

Just a heads up, my friend & I both have a Pioneer 2850bt. He's using an android phone, while I'm using an iphone. Both can play waze & spotify, but difference is I can play spotify while using waze simultaneously, while with my friend, his spotify would not play while using waze. But if that's not an issue to you, you can use the apps separately naman.

Thanks for the feedback. This is not a concern as what i want to get from the pioneer is the audio feature. Such as alignment and yes, playing spotify
