April 22nd, 2015 08:17 AM #1Recently did 230t kms PMS check at a major Toyota casa in QC... di naman ganun kamahal since halos basic lang talaga ang ginawa nila..
but as expected... they also sent a list of "for replacement" parts / works.. tipong pro active baga na mga gawain.. para unahan na ang sira... medyo marami rami.. at sa quotation nila... halos pang downpayment na ng sasakyan:
mga for replacement:
- breather hose
- a/c filter / a/c cover
- water pump assembly
- radiator assembly
- valve cover gasket (ito maka ilang beses na to nire recommend.. since mga 200t kms check pa ata)
- injector nozzle seal (ito din ilang ulit na nila recommended)
- fuel leakage assembly
- fuel filter
- injector pipe 1 - 4
- rack end
- tie rod
- stabilizer link
- engine support
- oil pan assembly
- shock absorbers
- alternator pulley
- rotor disc
knowing na style ng casa to to increase their sales... syempre consult muna ako sa mga ka Tsikot on the following:
saan kaya maganda magpa 2nd opinion on these? to have them really check which ones yung talagang kailangan palitan / advisable palitan.. at which ones yung inaahente lang talaga ako ng casa?
yung sa tie rod / rack end.. ilang ulit na rin yan nililista... pero pag pina tignan ko sa pang ilalim specialist.. bushing lang pinapalitan... =) .. not sure about stabilizer link though..
sa alternator pulley - medyo mas maingay nga ang takbo ngayon as compared to dati.. although di ko lang sure which of the pulleys yung nag cause ng ingay...
thanks in advance sa mga advice ninyo!

April 22nd, 2015 12:37 PM #2feeling ko... halos lahat sa listahan nyo, puede namang pakiramdaman kung puede pa o hinde..
my fearless forecast... if nothing wrong with it now, then you do not have to replace it..

Ganyan din halos yung binigay na list sa akin ng casa when I had my SCV replaced for my Innova.
The only thing obviously needing replacement was the shock absorbers. They quoted me about 45k for the replacement of the suspension parts (stab link, tie rod, etc.) which I doubt na palitin na talaga.
I just bought the shocks sa labas, then had Goodyear Servitek to install them. Total damage was 10k inclusive of labor.
Kudos to your D4-D Sir!

imho, except perhaps for the water pump, i think the rest can be replaced if there are symptoms already.
nagtataka nga ako bakit pati radiator assembly dapat palitan eh.

April 23rd, 2015 12:54 AM #6My 99 lovelife plastic covered radiator suddenly developed a crack in the middle of noontime traffic at edsa. buti napansin ko na 3/4 na ang temp. Malamang lumutong na ang plastic since its already 14yrs and 180k mileage.
