October 9th, 2023 02:22 PM #62You can normally upsize a cars stock OEM mags to 20 inch yata kaya for the corolla.
you just need to know the exact offset needed and the right tire combination.
most major tire shops knows this and you can go to them to canvass the prices and options.
You also have to understand the consequences of up sizing the wheels and tires.
poor fuel economy, harsh ride, easily gets dings and scratches in the mags due to a lower profile tire needed to fit the wheel well, very slight change speedometer reading, might have harder steering feel, etc.

biggest hassle for me is that the upgraded/new mags will not be covered by insurance...
but I agree with your post... better send the car to those shops who sell mags/tires... they know what to do

its actually the best time to have the tires replaced... makapal pa yung goma and fresh pa yung mags. madali i-trade-in

Toyota Motor PH Drops 1.6-Liter Engine In Corolla Altis Range | CarGuide
For 2024, the carmaker has given the Corolla Altis a quiet refresh headlined by a brand-new engine. Out goes the 1.6-liter 1ZR-FE and in comes the 1.8-liter 2ZR-FE. The additional 200 cc of displacement is enough to bump up the power and torque figures to 140 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 172 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. These represent an 18 horsepower and 19 Nm increase compared to before.
More importantly, this means the non-hybrid Corolla Cross and non-hybrid Corolla Altis share the same powerplant for the first time, in the Philippines at least.
Dropping the MT variant, the 2024 Corolla Altis range starts with the 1.8 E CVT at P 1,135,000.

i shouldn't have said thati'm actually glad that you could still buy a car in 2024 w/ an old school engine. something that's not turbo gdi
whether it's worth buying over something like a honda city, that i'm not so sure about. seems to be marginally wider than the City, and has independent suspension.
