So, how much will Toyota PH sell the Wigo mini hatchback for?
An executive in the Toyota dealership network has sent us the official pricing for the soon-to-be-launched (next month, as a matter of fact) Toyota Wigo mini hatchback. Apparently, our price projection of P430,000 is a little off as the cheapest Wigo variant will go for P448,000.
Here are the three Wigo variants together with their price tags, as confirmed by another high-ranking official in the Toyota community:
* Wigo 1.0G AT - P534,000
* Wigo 1.0G MT - P499,000
* Wigo 1.0E MT - P448,000
Only the top variant has automatic transmission; the other two are manual.

I think the mirage will still sell better than this. Mas subok na ang mirage eh, compared to this relatively new model here. Unless pinoys will be lured by the toyota badge alone. I just hope they put in the nice toys like those inside the mirage for the price. We can really not tell yet until we see one in metal (or plastics :p)

Indeed. Exactly. Sales-wise, we just don't know until the Wigo hits the market. The pricing is very incredible. It undercuts almost all the competition and effectively trails the Mirage. As I see it, the Wigo is aiming directly at Mirage GLX variants. The upcoming Yaris 1.2L CVT will spank the Mirage GLS variants. I heard that it will be launched here as well later this year. The Yaris 1.2L is spec in the same league as the Mirage GLS vis-a-vis in its engine (1.2L) and tranny option (MT and CVT) and the Yaris will definitely be bigger.

Maybe we should blame car manufacturers too for offering very competitive prices in complimenting our already-worse traffic situation in Metro Manila
