Knowing him in the office doesn't prove or disprove anything about the case.

Having a child won't make you innocent either. Some people are *desperate* you know.

If he can prove he's driving his own car, why the hell would he try to escape in the first place? If it's mistaken identity then the driver is also to blame. His blunder cost him his life.
