sa wakas. sana matuloy ito.
Reps. Rufus Rodriguez (2nd District, Cagayan de Oro City) and Maximo Rodriguez Jr. (Party List, Abante Mindanao) have filed House Bill 4160, which seeks to introduce road and traffic safety in the curriculum of elementary and secondary schools.
According to Rodriguez, the bill's objective is "to educate the students on the importance of road courtesy, discipline and obedience to traffic laws."
"There seems to be a growing number of traffic accidents in the country, which can be attributed mainly to the sheer disregard of traffic laws or to ignorance," the solon added.
Based on the bill, a new subject called "Road Courtesy, Discipline and Traffic Safety Education" will be added to the school curriculum and taught from Grade 1 up to 4th year high school. The subject will reportedly include: traffic signs and what they mean; the rights and obligations of pedestrians, drivers, vehicle owners, and public-utility vehicles; Philippine laws on driving; fines and penalties; and local traffic codes.
Do you think that by educating children on road and traffic safety at an early age, we'll have more disciplined motorists in the future?

June 18th, 2014 08:53 PM #6I wish senators like cayetano who is now running Taguig is great tv ads constantly would change their message to include public service announcements, it would be a better use of their ad money.
For example, run ads that will educate the public on issues like traffic rules such as proper loading and unloading. Maybe these types of public service announcements would educate the public more effectively.
Other ads could concentrate on educating the public on proper queuing.

sana gumawa nalang sila ng slideshow regarding traffic rules and regulations, do's & dont's, basic maintenance, etc etc...
