i have searched different stores in manila and could not find hand cleaner. skin care is one of the concerns plaguing automotive technicians. in all parts of north america, gloves are required if you are handling chemicals or hot surfaces. the technician's hands are exposed to chemicals that may cause cancer, reproductive problems or skin irritation. the greases, paint, oil, refrigerant or antifreeze get in contact with your hands.
what i improvised as a substitute to remove accidental paint or grease on your hands is a combination of dry laundry detergent, hand/body lotion and mineral spirits or turpentine or paint thinner. the first concoction i made was1 cup lotion, 1 cup dry detergent 1/2 cup paint thinner. thoroughly blend before use. change proportions according to your liking. it worked removing oil based enamel paint and acrylic wall paint with less scrubbing and rinse with water.
