Jimny = Gen2 Samurai
very offroadable.
Not really a good choice if you have a family.
I would personally want one as a dedicated offroad toy.

April 2nd, 2003 09:50 PM #15Look's like it's going to be your(not the family's) ride so I say go for it. Handling and ride comfort should be much better than the old Samurai due to the coil vs leaf springs setup. The front seats should give you enough room and as far as the back seat, I look at them as a bonus;can haul additonal people at least for short distances. Plus, there are tons of aftermaket off-road stuff for zuks. I want one too!

April 3rd, 2003 09:52 PM #16i drive one. ok naman ang ride. medyo masikip nga ang loob. hindi pang-pamilya. but it's fun to drive. haven't tried it off road yet, though. kung everyday ride mo lang, ok sya. nadala na sa ilocos (from metro manila). matulin din. maganda ang kapit sa daan. kakatakot nga lang talagang bilisan pa dahil parang liliparin na ng hangin pag sobra nang bilis.

April 4th, 2003 10:03 PM #18kiper,
well i'm really no expert pero maganda rin naman acceleration nya. tuwang-tuwa nga erpat ko e civic kotse nun at ang hilig i-test ang bilis ng sasakyan. ewan ko lang compared sa ibang sasakyan. ang huling kotse ko e kia pride so kahit anong mangyari maganda ang takbo ng jimny.

Otep, KC and i Had some behind the wheel experience with Gen1 Jimnys(Samurai) yesterday in an offroad track with the Suzuki 4x4 club....
Its a very very capable offroad machine (well, medyo modded na yung na-drive namin)! Imagine 1.3L lang makina! Imagine the improvements in the Gen2!
