hmmm.. parang hidden deal yan ah. afaik all are included in the 3 years or 100000kms (which ever comes first) thing..
anyway.. kaya ako after my 1st year sa casa ayoko na... dahil masyadong mahal ang PMS sa kanila.. tapos mas maganda pa yung suki kong shop for the PMS checkups.. natuturuan pa nila ako sa mga ginagawa nila..

June 28th, 2011 02:50 AM #1117mga sir,
I've been reading alot of your threads here and I must say..salamat po.. madami po akong natutunan. its helping me to choose my first car!
I have one question lang po? meron na po ba sa inyo nakabili ng repossessed cars? I am taking this into consideration din kasi.
I saw an APV GA repossessed po sa isang bank. Pano po pag hindi na sya within warranty and I need to replace a part in my car, ok lang ba sa kahit saan pong branch ng suzuki ko sya dalhin?
and another thing po, some of my friends, who "thinks" they know alot about cars..are really pushing me not to buy suzuki apv because its hard to buy parts daw..is this true?
maraming salamat po..

hi sir Bison, regarding your questions,
repo cars are like gambling... minsan maganda minsan malas... if the previous owner really loved the car.. then its sure that its primo class.. and vice versa.. best is have it checked before buying... (but afaik, other banks that re-sells the vehicles does not allow 'test drives') naka kita nga ako sa PS Bank warehouse ng mga APVs..Swifts, Celeros, Altos that ran less than 5thousand kilometers!!! so hindi pa siya na break in..
for short.. its a gamble to buy 2nd hand.. pag maganda na bili.. swerte!
regarding warranty, most of the time.. (but still im not sure kasi hindi na ko nagpapa-cover sa warranty) is any CASA will accept your vehicle.. because they check your owner's manual that has the warranty / oil change / PMS booklet if it has been logged and tagged every PMS. from there and also with the assistance of their system, has a background information regarding the vehicle.
lastly regarding "parts"... ill answer that one as a "YES" and "NO"... why? because as of today, the issues that our co-APV owners that reported was replaced by both the CASA and other suking - car part shops... but also there is one particular part that I remembered that had an issue..
one of our members had an issue regarding "loss of power" / "torque" while moving.. his mechanic said that he needs to have his fuel filter changed... he went to Links-banawe or at Olympia (i think) and there was a 2nd hand part available.. unfortunately may sira din daw yung surplus part... no news yet or updates regarding that one. At the same time.. Im not sure if the person also went to the CASA to have it fixed.. or maybe as we know.. CASA prices are higher than normal..
another instance is one of our APVers had their 'timing belt' changed... they didnt buy the OEM timing belt from Suzuki... but what he bought is from an OEM for Civic.... yes.. sir you read it right.. from a 'Honda Civic'...
FYI, the G16A engine of the APV is already here in the Philippines was already here a long time ago... it was used with its older cousins, Suzuki Esteem, and Suzuki Vitarra... so surplus parts / OEM, Bnew parts should be available at the same time, experience with mechanics.
but this sir.. "PRICE" yes.. some are 'high priced' some are fair... but most vehicles naman are ganun din diba?
sinasabi ko na lang din sa sarili ko... its part of having a vehicle... you have the pleasure of going to point a to point b faster.. but with a price.. but still you have your comfort, kailangang alagaan ang sasakyan para tumagal... and price goes with it.
sorry for the long post.. but hope this can assist you sir.
if you have any doubts on my post here regarding APVers.. please do drop by our forum site and read their posts and not from mine.
