yung "super" gear oil is GL5 so for the diffs i'll use 80w90 GL-5, slightly thicker than recommended 75w85
    sir, kamusta po yung 75w90 GL4 and 80w90 GL5?

i'm due for transfer case and diff oil changes na kasi...

currently using suzuki GL4's sa transfer case (planning to go for Redline's this time around - but ano ba dapat? MTL, MT-85, etc?)

sa diff oil ko naman naka Redline na from 2 years ago, 75w85 GL5. planning to replace it with the same viscosity.

diffs are probably better protected with thicker oil. in fact the jb43 manual lists up to sae90 as acceptable to use

same goes for transfer case, jb43 manual lists 75w90 as OK to use in transfer case. as for redline just pick the thicker one i suppose...

    Hi...

For the LED headlights of the JB74 (GLX), is it possible to replace just the bulb?

Or does one need to replace the entire LED projector headlight assembly when, for example, the LED headlight gets busted (no longer lights up)?

    Thanks.

I am new to the forums and I may want to purchase a Jimny 5-door. Are there any issues if any with them that anyone can tell me should I decide to move forward with the purchase? I'm actually deciding between the Jimny and a Fortuner. Thanks

    well,
i have no information to volunteer.
but i do google or youtube for other peoples' views on the matter.
while waiting for other folks to chime in their opinions, might i recommend these?

Just had my diff/transfer case oils replaced yesterday 2 years and 3 months (ran 30k kms) from last drain.

    - Front diff is still like new, so I plan to double the interval next time (4 years or 60k kms). Used Red Line 75W85 (as per manual also).
    - Transfer case is also pretty clean, replaced it this time with Redline MT-90 (75W90). Interval should be 4 years or 60k kms as per manual so probably that's why it was still spanking clean.
    - Rear diff, the shop recommended I go for a thicker oil (SAE110) - they had Amsoil 75W110 so I went for it (no stock for Redline). Hopefully it's not detrimental since it is a bit thicker than SAE90. But as pointed out, Diffs could be better protected with a slightly thinker oil especially the rear one.

Probably not... most LED headlights/taillights assembly are fixed set and good as disposable if it breaks.

    I don't own a 5 dr but I own the 3 dr.

My thoughts on this is if you buy a Jimny, you want a Jimny.

So if your case right now is comparing it to a Forty, then probably you'll get better value with the Forty. Baka magsisi ka lang sa Jimny kasi. :D You buy it for what it is, and don't compare it to other bigger SUV's kasi you will likely end up regretting it eventually. :D

Personally, I won't buy the 5 dr, too expensive and somehow misses the true appeal of the Jimny (which is in 3 dr). I'd probably buy Corolla Cross instead (if I had the money)...

My personal take, get a 3 dr (when you can) or buy something else with better value.
