It was scientifically proven na white and green are the most visible colors for plate, same sa Orange at Red for signal lights and brake lighs.

What I mean is the white background and black lettering plates vs the old white background and green lettering plates.

At the very least, mabuti nga may license plate pa eh.

A lot of cars get away with either fake plates or none at all. Remember that SUV that went in the bus lane not too far back? License plate na nakalagay (kuno) was for senators use only. Peke (daw).

the car should impounded, and released only upon presentation of the real plates, and after paying the penalties.

the reason for using fake plates or none at all, could be as whimsical as "'la lang", to escape coding, or intent to commit serious crime.

if all went to plan... enough na sana yung RFID na issued noon sa cars and motorcycles.

sa Australia, may long distance RFID readers yung mga police nila, lalabas dun car information etc (no need to see the plate of the car)

naalala ko nung last visit ko, ginamit ko car ng tita ko tapos I was stopped by an enforcer, di daw kasi registered yung sasakyan (kaya pala nakatago lang sa garage ni tita, hehehe). then I realized... ganun din siguro yung purpose nung RFID natin. sadly, after nung City and Vespa ko, tinigil na ata ng LTO ang pag-issue ng RFIDs

Citation needed? European number plates are all black lettering on white background and are very readable in all conditions.

The Vienna Convention on Road Traffic actually stipulates that number plates should be black text on a white background for maximum readability.

PDF of Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (number plate prescribed color on page 48 of the document, page 51 of the PDF): https://unece.org/DAM/trans/conventn...traffic_EN.pdf

Like i said earlier, they (lto or whoever makes the local plates) should probably try to make the letters very reflectorized and glossy as much as possible. The poor visibility has little to do with being colored black unless (but maybe only) one is color blind. I'm sure it doesn't take a rocket scientist for some of them to understand this.
