the first mitsu to carry this was the fieldmasters. anyway, yes, it is inaccurate but it can still help show you if a flat suddenly occurs, based on personal experience. i think winterpine is the one supplying mitsu philippines with this.

yung sensor for each tire attaches to the end of the air valve that goes into the inside of the rim.

the tpms is the whole system. if you need the in-tire sensor, you need to replace all four if you can not find the exact replacement. most of them need to be reprogrammed while installed on the car with a special sensor "training" tool to synchronize the frequency with the cars signal receiver

Are these sensors very prone to damage when changing tires?

So it has to be reprogrammed each and every time particularly when you change tires? Can this be done by the user/owner or the casa alone?

I've read that Mitsubishi's TPMS can be reset by the user/owner.

the tpms sensor is sensitive to water in the tire from undry air supply tanks. it is also sensitive to the "fix-a-flat" tire sealer/inflator. if the tires had to be replaced, the sensor does not retraining. the tire technician should be very careful though as these sensor/transmitter are susceptible to damage when demounting and mounting tires
