hello!
tanong ko lang po, yung left side tie rod end po ba needs replacement na? comparing it to the right side, parang dry na yung boot nya.
left side
right side

thanks!

your pictures show the CV joint boots or birfield joint boots or constant velocity boots. there is almost perfect certainty that if the boots are not torn or broken and are not leaking the grease, the joint itself should be fine. there are two joints per half shaft, your picture are those of the outboard ones. the outboards are fixed cv joints and on the other end, the inboard are plunge joint type to accommodate for changes in effective length as the suspension moves up and down. the inboard joints makes a distinct "clacking" sound and the outboards makes a "clicking" sound when the axles are turning. since the noise happens only when in reverse and when turning, i would suspect the wheel bearing. noises in suspension and driveline are best checked and diagnosed physically to be able to hear the type of noise, the frequency of the noise, the intensity and other contributing factors when these "ghost" symptoms appear

re: ball joints, sa casa lang kasi may oem, sa mga auto parts store replacement lang, kung kayo po, would you gamble for the replacement part? sa casa kasi by order pa yung part, replacement part nga pala e parts-mall at cardex to be specific.
salamat po!
