i just had my brake pads/shoes replaced sometime last month; also had the drums refaced and the brake cylinder/assembly (back) also replaced since it stuck up. Since then i hear this high pitch noise (parang may buhangin sa loob) at least during the first 30 mins of driving then would eventually go away...brake power is good since bnew. sometimes, you have to step on the brakes really hard and then the sound immediately goes away...can this be considered normal? d naman nagbabawas fluid ko.

    TIA!

ok...thanks aceshark, but i've been using replacement brake parts for quite some time and previous ones were not noisy except after running on floods.

neways...i feel relieved somehow as i don't wanna go back to the shop again...i have been spending my 2 consecutive days off there already! hahaha.

It's perfectly normal. We get that on one of our cars, the particular pad (front right) seems okay and no braking problems whatsoever.

sorry for the stupidity...but you have to open the drum to spray it with the cleaner, right? =)
