tanong ko lang kung kailan dapat mag pa cleaning ng drum brakes at palitan yung brake shoe..
if not well maintained what could be the possible damage?

sir,
all types of brakes whether brake or disc should be cleaned every 5th km. sabay mo sa oil change and tune up. replacement usually visual inspection pwede na at dapat palitan kung mga 25% na lang ng original thickness.
same with disc brakes, if the shoe is worn out, it will damage the brake drum. rotor disc for disc brakes.
sayang pera pa reface. worse yet, replace.

I usually clean my drums (DIY) with brake cleaner every 10,000kms.
The rear drums don't wear out as fast as the front ones also.
