February 26th, 2006 02:40 PM #1After kong mag papalit ng Steering bushing bumigat ang pag steer sa manibela. Is this normal? Effect ba ito ng pag palit ng Steering bushing? Will it go back to normal, ung dating feel ng manibela? Kasi ung ride ko hindi power steering pero di naman ganoon kabigat before. Corolla XL 1992.

this is the white plastic bushing right? relative to the ease of steering prior to the change, it's only normal that it would tighten a bit as the inner diameter of the new bushing is significantly smaller and have a tighter fit on the steering column.
maybe you can also check that the tire pressure is correct on the front tires. as little as 3 psi less than the nominal pressure makes a very big difference in steering feel especially in a non-power assisted steering system.
