Great choice going for the Forester. Definitely a better car than the Xpander or Rush that you were initially considering.

Maraming salamat Boss Jut, Egan and Spin!
Sobrang thankful po ako sa inyo and sa tsikot forum for guiding and helping newbies like me!
Maganda nga po talaga si Subie.. Hehe..

Question po uli mga bossing! Hehehe..

May tunog talaga yung brakes lalo na yung malamig or basa. Nawawala yan kapag warm na sya.

Medyo malambot yung brakes ng Forester SJ platform. Mashie yung feel as per most owners. Even with the FXT, ganun din. Kelangan medyo diinan mo ng kunti para kumapit ng tama.

It also could be the bedding in period of your brakes. They’ll bite better after a few weeks of use.

This is normal lalo na kapag maulan. I think nagkaka moisture lang sa surface. That's totally tolerable.

Nope, it does feel soft. The brakes bite but the pedal response is a bit soft or mashie. I would prefer to get it a bit more response like the brake feel on the Accord.

This is a common observation among Forester SJ owners within SFX FB community. For FXT owners, it is key to get the pedal application right specially if you are aggressive on the accelerator. There is someone out there that sells a device that adjusts the pedal response to be a bit more firm.

You can easily deal with wet or cold brakes but brake pedal response is a characteristic of the platform. I am not saying that the Forester's braking is soft but the pedal response could get some improvement. Subaru's traction control system is quite intelligent that it can easily sense loss of grip/traction on any wheel and then it auto-corrects itself to give the car the needed traction on all 4 wheels.

Also the handbrake has quite a big play. You need 5 to 6 clicks before it engages. Especially on an inclined.
