No variation in idle rpm speed on my XT. The normal idle rpm speed is between 700-800rpm. from a cold start, it starts out at around 1500 rpm then gradually goes down to around 1000 rpm when the blue cold temperature light turns off.

Yes they did. BTW, its out of warranty already.
But you are very correct about the concern regarding the build quality. Lets say its not that great (at least for my unit). In fact, I never encountered these kind of problems with other japanese brands that are made in Thailnd. Anyway....Last edited by number001; July 14th, 2016 at 11:00 PM.

Fellow XT owners, what oil does Motor Image use on the FA20DIT? I heard from Subaru BGC folks that you can bring your own motor oil in time for your scheduled oil change. What would be the best options available? Thanks in advance.

I have read that the FA20DIT requires 5w30 weight and it was also the weight suggested by the Subaru BGC technicians. They said they use Motul 5w30. Ford Manila Bay uses Shell Helix Ultra 5w30 on my Fiesta Ecoboost. They said they have Motul 5w40 but that's beyond the limits of the Ecoboost engines.

August 1st, 2016 11:59 AM #2000Is the Forester's spare tire really just the steel rimmed kind?
Got a flat the other day and was really surprised because the spare wasn't the same as the other 4 rims.
thanks!
