4 na pala tayo in interested to buy one soon.

I'm overwhelmed with a lot of jargon and technical stuff about pistols. Dami pala varieties.

It all boils down on what you really want. Like in anything...mapa kotse, tires, bikes, computers...the end user has to be equipped with the knowledge of what he is going into...para well informed ang decisions.

Its sad kasi kapag nakabili ng isang gamit...and it falls short of expectation.
Baka a person wants something na pang carry..tapos nakabili ng fullsized..or gusto pala ng pang competition..tapos di pala classified under IPSC yung pistol...etc..etc..

[SIZE=3]Ejay, best is to go to a Firing Range to rent and try out the firearm, or ikaw dapat ang mangulit sa mga BoSB to have a firing session (live ammo) para you can try different FAs. Also, dami din articles sa net about getting your first FA. Dami kasi factors, kasama na dyan yung brand, feel in your hand, sino kasama mo pumutok etc.

Do you plan to also get a Permit to Carry? If not, baka you want to consider a shotgun for home defense.

For the requirements, depends sa gagamitin na qualification mo. Definitely they will need your ITR. License Processing Fee, not sure pero baka around 7k++ na yata - then again, marami din kasing twists and turns dito.

tumpak sir, question is, your reason of acquiring it, yun yung unang ask ko sayo sir last night. like me few years ago i had my para ord cal .45 mejo mabigat e carry but its good into parctical shooting noon. but later here comes the cal .40 standard na mas maraming laman matatag e putok at mas mabilis sa .45, halos kasing bilis na sya halos sa 9mm, uhhmmm same category with cal .45. so what i did i sold my para ord cal. 45 bihis na bihis na po yun and i decided to drop down into production category the glock 17 is my like / choice. ..."reason" mas magaan and glock due to its polymer frame (lagi ko kase dala ang baby ko everywhere for safety), it has a standard size for a stable handling while shooting, glock 17 is a credible 9mm pistol, some of the shooters are glock entusiast......hehehehehe......hope it helps.....

Ano kaya ang mga requirements kapag ipaparehistro under your name at kukuha ng permit to carry?

Interesting. Di ko alam na pede pala mag rent ng baril sa firing ranges. never been in one din kasi. sa next EB mangungulit ako sa inyong lahat para sumama at makita.

I guess there's no issues with the requirements just want to know na rin if there are chances to wave some of the fees (like when youre buying a vehicle) since i really dont know how acquiring one really goes. I'll have to do some reading na rin siguro.

Shotgun ata ay di maganda ilagay sa sasakyan and PTC wont really do me any good siguro since i dont see a gun as a personal protection outside the home and vehicle (wala namang imminent threat sa buhay ko) hehe.

    Thanks for the help atty

Sir try the ARMSCOR brand na full size 45 caliber. Around 17K ung unit 6K for the Lic. and 10 for the permit to carry. Requirements lang is the ITR, Picture, ID, and may isa pa just forgot ung docs. Sa range naman pwede din pa member ka para sa permit to transport if wala ka PTC, kaso house to range area and back lang pwede not outside sa line of travel or route mo. 45 has a good stopping power if you ask me compared sa 9mm unless headshot or vital part ang tamaan mo. .40 is also good.

i used to be a glocker, g23 pa dati, pero maganda kasi ang bentahan ngayun so i decided to sell the glock and got my self a sigP220...

sa mga interesado bumili ng baril like my advice to moxxx try to wait out the july gun show, kasi sayang din yung mga discounts na pwede mo makuha, plus you can have your pick of the different varieties and models/brands of firearms.

regarding firing ranges, yes they have pistols for rent, the only problem is pag inhouse pistol, laspag na, pero just so you can get a feeling for the different kicks of the various calibers, it's a good way to start your future as a firearm owner...

madami mga bosb na owners and responsible carriers... kung may mga katanungan don't hesitate to ask us... pag ganitong usapan kasi dapat ang knowledge base mo eh medyo malalim na at hindi biro mag mayari ng baril, regardless of carry siya or home lang...

iba ang responsibilidad ng may baril...
