October 6th, 2010 05:38 AM #11The new korando was designed by Italdesign Giorgetto Giugiaro and based in an all new monocoque platform unlike the other existing models. The engine will be a eXDi200 2.0-liter diesel engine developing 175 hp using a two-stage turbocharger with an advanced high-efficiency exhaust gas recycling (EGR) intercooler producing a solid 130kW and 450Nm of torque, a 1.8 litre 115 hp gasoline will follow suit later. Transmission choice are 6 speed manual or six speed automatic. It will be called the New Actyon (as someone mentioned) only in Russia as this car is also being made under Russian car makers Sollers.
BTW the new owner of Ssangyong Motors is Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, completion of takeover will be done later this year.

February 12th, 2011 08:36 PM #17Very nice! I find its design more appealing than the Tucson. Wheels Inc. would be just dumb not to bring this here. If properly priced, it should be able to steal many impatient Tucson buyers and be a formidable competitor to the upcoming Sportage as well.

Lumabas na sa Korean market! And I bet the new one is much more fuel efficient than the Tucson and Sportage!

Pag "***y" naman yung Tucson, at yung Sportage naman ay "smart", ang bagong Korando C naman ay "classy"! Ano mas prefer? ***y? Smart? Or Classy?
