Former Philippine national team captain and Ateneo Blue Eagles guard Chris Tiu joined the PBA Draft 2012 by submitting his application on Friday.
The 27-year-old hinted his decision via Twitter to the delight of so many followers. He tweeted “Hello PBA ” and then later posted a photo of his PBA Draft 2012 application, saying: “Dropped my application at d PBA office this morning. Here’s the proof. Sorry, no address & mobile # pic.twitter.com/e74NBwUY.”
The PBA Draft 2012 will be held on August 19 at the Robinson’s Midtown Manila mall, with the Petron Blaze Boosters picking the top spot. Aside from Tiu, draft shoo-ins include Cebuano Junmar Fajardo, San Sebastian’s Calvin Abueva and Vic Manuel, former national team member Aldrech Ramos, and Filipino-foreign players Chris Ellis, Cliff Hodge, Jason Deutchman, Charles Keith Jensen, and Alex Mallari.
