gotta ba happy for labagala and j. wilson. i never thought their stars would shine as brightly as they are shining right now.
labagala was a mediocre but tough uaap pg w/ the ue warriors at best, but look at him now. he was the darling of the bgk crowd and not because he was in the same class of wilmer ong nor ed ducut.
john wilson on the otherhand was a hard nosed and nasty vital cog for the jru heavy bombers but he wasn't much of a heralded draftee coming into this season. his throwback/old school set shot from the perimeter and beyond the 3 point arc lifted the kings' spirit whenever they were in dire straits. the feisty coach ariel vanguardia would surely be proud of his boy
congrats to larry, rich, coach chot, and the rest of the tnt family

hmmmmm interesting..
Former star Stephon Marbury has offered to electrify the fans of the Philippine Basketball Association.
The price, however, is too steep for the two-time NBA All-Star to bring his act to the pro league.
A local agent acquainted with Marbury's handler has talked to at least three teams, offering the services of the explosive 6-foot-2 playmaker for the import-laced Governor's Cup next month, according to a PBA insider.
Marbury reportedly earned $80,000 a month with the Foshan Dralions in the Chinese Basketball Association and the 34-year-old former high school phenom would have to agree to a humongous pay cut of $14,000, the maximum salary of imports in the PBA, for negotiations to push through.
“Stephon Marbury and his agent have not decided yet if he would want to play here on a lower price,” said the local agent on her Twitter account. “They will decide Wednesday LA time (Thursday in Manila).”
The agent refused to divulge the ballclubs that were approached for Marbury.
Marbury, who spent 13 seasons with five different teams in the NBA and reached All-Star status while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2001 to 2003, should be a perfect fit for teams who need a 6-foot-2 import in the third conference.
These teams, based on their cumulative records so far, are Talk ‘N Text, San Miguel Beer, Derby Ace and Barangay Ginebra.

Big trade brewing
A one-for-one trade is being negotiated in the PBA at the moment and if the two parties agree, it may be consummated within the next three days. No other considerations are involved. A reliable source said yesterday the swap is strictly one player for another.
What’s interesting is that the players involved are both versatile. One player is more known as a two-guard and a deadly outside shooter who can also drive strong to the hole. The other is essentially a shooting forward who can play two, three and even four because of his height.
Both players are three-point bombers. One is an extremely high leaper who can slam the ball with either hand or both – at the same time. The other is a crafty veteran and an adequate defender.
If the trade pushes through, it won’t be the first time for the players. One player has been in the league since 2005-06, switching uniforms thrice while the other turned pro in 2000 and is on his third team.
The players expect to get a boost in their careers with the deal. Curiously, one player will go back to his original team if the trade is signed, sealed and delivered.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Dondon For KG??

so ibig sabihin maliit din lang salary ni marbury sa nba noon? kasi asking price nya sa CBA is $80k lang....
hindi kaya ng PBA yan.
