Looking for not so expensive Mountain Bike

depends on the use. full suspension mtbikes offer better comfort than hardtails (typical) mtbikes but have more weight disadvantage and of course are more costly. hardtails can tackle most trails here and around luzon naman if you're budget conscious

Yung mountain bike ko galing Toy Kingdom lang, 3k tapos 6mos 0% interest pa. So hulog lang ako P500 per month, full size mb suspension bike pa. But as expected, it's crap, so I had the tires, shifters, brakes, and seat changed, mostly sa John Wilkie sa Marikina (http://johnwilkiebikes.multiply.com/). Panalo dun sa John Wilkie. Upgrades cost another 3k, so 6k na bike ko, pero medyo matino na. Siyempre, plato at rear gears naman ang next upgrade... Unti-unti lang.

langya shimano e "branded" mga yan a. todas kagad P4k ko diyan. Naisip ko nga din sa may Cartimar sa Pasay. Pero I will really stick with my budget kasi dito lang naman ako sa village mag bibisikleta or sa academic oval sa peyups (sempre sasakay ko sa auto papunta). Kung masiraan man ako e papara na lang ako ng tricycle he he. No plans na umakyat ng antipolo or go biking sa highway or main road. Sa motor nga naprapraning na ako sa bisikleta pa. Ok na yung mga taiwan made siguro. Basta wag lang makakalas pag nadaan sa lubak or sa humps o kaya mayat maya e kakabit mo yung kadena dahil nadiskaril he he. BTW Yung mga bikes ba sa tobys ok or overpriced?

Are you still biking around UP Academic Oval? Paminsan minsan (weekends) kasi, doon ako nag-bike. He he he . . .

So, when I found one with 19" frame and within my budget, I bought it.

HI guys,

Bago lang ako dito. High School palang ako gusto ko na magka-bike. For health reasons narin kasi alam ko good exercise ang pagbabike. Anong bike ba ang magandang bilhin? Honestly, di ko alam kng anu anong parts dapat kasi nga wla tlaga akong idea about bike. Nagcanvass ako sa Quiapo kanina at may nag-offer sakin ng 8k para sa Merida. Puro alloy na raw lahat mula pedal hanggang sa connection ng gulong. Totoo ho ba un? pano nga ba malalaman na made of alloy tlaga ung bike?
