It is quite difficult to change one’s mindset that food is fuel for the body like gasoline or diesel to cars.

You don’t gas up 1,000 liters to a 75- liter tank capacity car.

But who says self-discipline is easy?

sugar is the enemy talaga. alcohol, pastries, and softdrinks were the ones that really fattened me up when i was younger.

when i went brown w/ regard to my choice of rice and bread, that's when i felt my health turned for the better. but eating only when hungry is the one psyche w/c i think pushed me out of my weight plateau. sometimes i can refrain eating for more than 12 hours na nga. w/c is something that really surprises me.

minsan parang naniniwala na ako sa anecdotes ng ibang mga muslim na they're more sharp and focused during ramadan. something about the lack of excess calories makes them more efficient or something like that. iyon nga lang, i can't do w/o water talaga.

When I requested for an ampalaya dish, I specifically told them to cook it between half and fully cooked. They then told me, that thats how they cook it too! I'm not sure why but it was fantasti - no problem with the "excrement"

When it comes to carbs, anything brown is good. Brown rice or even black rice. Brown bread, etc.

There’s a difference between complex carbs and simple carbs.

When you’re weight lifting, you need carbs for your strength.

And you need to know your macros and calorie expenditure per day.

i have not gone back to eating rice and bread. i get mostly my carbs sa kamote, yam, repolyo, cauliflower, broccoli.

i'm not much to heavy lifting, mostly body weights, tabata, walking. may pwersa pa naman. maintain lang ang timbang. i supplemented with protein isolate lately[emoji39]

yes, i'm monitoring my macros. i'm using the app Lose It as i cannot download yung myfitness pal where i am.

the company declared work from home for 2 weeks. i will do mostly home workout. there's a gym where i stay but i prefer not to go.

Ampalaya has enzymes that support lung health too. Very timely to add this on your dish.

I can eat ampalaya on a daily basis. Keeps my blood sugar in check.
